Portals Introduction
designdesign
design

Web portals get their name from the little round windows you find in the side of a ships.  Portals are windows into the world of content.  They typically restrict your view to a specific area or type of content.  Web portals have become the industry standard mechanism for bringing together all of the views a company or individual needs into a single site.  A good portal allows every individual to have personalized views and makes it easy to consolidate views from diverse sources into a consistent experience.

This project will create all of the features of a powerful enterprise portal solution.  Features found in Rainbow portal v1.0 and other portals as well as ASP.NET 2.0 framework features will all be considered and implemented.
